Talk about what children like to eat/ drink/ listen to/ see/touch and home and ask them to describe why they like certain things. At bathtime and bedtime, chat to your child about why we do certain things- brush our teeth, wash our face etc.

Have a walk along the local canal and see what shape/ material the boats are.
